JOHN BASILISCO
Our experienced leadership is spearheaded by our Managing Director and Founder, John Basilisco who brings a wealth of expertise to the table. With over 28 years of invaluable experience at in Multi-national organisations in both Australian and international markets, and a successful tenure as a State Manager for a prominent Australian construction firm.
John’s extensive and distinguished portfolio reflects decades of leadership in complex project delivery through projects such as the International Convention Centre, for councils across NSW which include, Waves Aquatic and Fitness Centre, West Tigers Centre of Excellence at Concord, Brookvale Oval Redevelopment, Heffron Centre for Randwick Council, Penrith Stadium RFT, Manuka Oval Due Diligence in conjunction with AECOM, Sutherland Entertainment Centre for Sutherland Shire Council.
His diverse sector experience extends to educational and health facilities, civic structures, commercial developments, public spaces, airports, defence projects, art galleries and cultural facilities, sporting complexes and large infrastructure projects including transport projects. John’s national and international experience has earned accolades and awards from industry peers, panels and stakeholders.

ROB SPEIGHT
General Manager (ACT)
Rob delivers end-to-end development management of mixed-use, multi-residential, retirement, office, and medical developments.
Rob has a proven track record in aligning project design, final projected outcomes and stakeholder intent with commercial and construction realities, managing projects over long timeframes with dynamic problems arising along the program length. Rob’s strength is forecasting the arising problems in advance to mitigate project risk and ensure the best project outcomes.

KEVIN HARRIS
Senior Construction Manager
Kevin is a veteran construction leader with more than 35 years of experience delivering major public and private sector projects nationwide. At GenUrban Projects Co, he brings operational expertise and a solutions-driven approach to ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently. His career includes senior roles at ADCO Constructions, Lendlease, and Laing O’Rourke, delivering landmarks such as Sydney Airport and Barangaroo. Recognised with nine Master Builders Awards, Kevin is known for his strategic planning, industrial relations acumen, and unwavering commitment to quality, collaboration, and innovation.

BRETT SMITH
Development Director
Brett is an accomplished development professional with over 20 years of experience delivering complex residential, mixed-use, and infrastructure projects valued at over $1B. At GenUrban Projects Co, he oversees projects from site acquisition to completion, blending financial acumen with architectural insight. His career includes leadership roles in both government and private sectors, backed by a background in architecture, construction, and service with the Australian Army and Defence. Brett’s strategic approach ensures commercially sound, community-driven outcomes.

JON LINDSAY
Senior Development Manager and Collaborator
Jon is a highly accomplished Development and Project Director with more than 20 years’ experience delivering award-winning residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. At GenUrban Projects Co, he provides end-to-end property solutions, adding strategic value across acquisition, design, and delivery. His portfolio includes Sirius Apartments, DHL Leppington, and Bondi’s Pacific project. With qualifications in property, finance, and business, Jon blends commercial insight with hands-on leadership to achieve profitable, sustainable outcomes.

JEFF KINGSTON
Senior Project Manager / Tenancy Coordinator
Jeff is a seasoned construction professional with over 18 years of experience across retail, commercial, government, and residential sectors. At GenUrban Projects Co, he leads projects from conception to completion, combining strategic oversight with practical delivery. With a background spanning client-side and construction management, Jeff brings deep expertise in tenancy coordination, design management, and stakeholder engagement. Having held senior roles at ADCO Constructions, Mirvac, Scentre Group, and Lendlease, he’s known for his pragmatic leadership, attention to detail, and ability to drive efficient, collaborative outcomes.

Design Manager
Brie is a versatile Design Manager with a background in architecture and construction, recognised for delivering complex projects in live environments. At GenUrban Projects Co, she drives design excellence across healthcare, civic, and residential developments. Her leadership on the $70M Children’s Hospital at Westmead Redevelopment showcased her skill in managing multiple teams and compliance challenges. A NAWIC NSW Award winner, Brie combines technical insight, creativity, and collaboration to deliver resilient, community-focused outcomes.

ANDREI GUDAS
Senior Project Manager and Collaborator
Andrei is a strategic Pre-Construction Manager with over 16 years of experience delivering complex civic and infrastructure projects across government and private sectors. At GenUrban Projects Co, he brings technical expertise and commercial insight to guide projects from feasibility to delivery. His senior roles at Mirvac, Laing O’Rourke, and the City of Canada Bay have seen him lead programs exceeding $100M. Known for stakeholder management and forward planning, Andrei fosters collaboration and clarity to achieve community-focused outcomes.

MATT CORVISY
Senior Project Manager
Matt is a construction professional with over 25 years of experience managing major residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. At GenUrban Projects Co, he oversees all phases from planning to delivery with a focus on quality, cost, and efficiency. His diverse background includes mixed-use towers, shopping centres, and transport infrastructure, complemented by qualifications in engineering and construction management. Matt is known for his proactive leadership and entrepreneurial approach to project delivery.

DAVID ELLIS
Senior Essential Services Manager
David is an electrical and infrastructure specialist with more than 30 years’ experience leading major projects across data centres, hospitals, defence, and telecommunications. At GenUrban Projects Co, he brings proven expertise in design, delivery, and maintenance of complex systems for clients such as AWS, Telstra, and Woolworths. With senior roles at Programmed and Fredon, David is known for his hands-on leadership, compliance focus, and ability to deliver safe, resilient, future-ready solutions.

STUART MALMGRON
Senior Services Manager
With over 38 years of experience in electrical, communications, and data infrastructure, Stuart Malmgron brings deep technical expertise and proven leadership to GenUrban Projects. Beginning his career as an Apprentice Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Stuart has progressed through the industry in diverse roles including Project Manager, Data & Communications Manager, Regional General Manager, and National General Manager – Sales & Technical.
Stuart has successfully delivered major electrical, communications, and data infrastructure upgrades across commercial, industrial, and government sectors, leading multidisciplinary teams in the design, prefabrication, and commissioning of complex building services within live environments. His technical background spans high-voltage installations, 3D design integration, and critical infrastructure systems.
His project portfolio includes landmark works for clients such as IBM, Australian Federal Police, Macquarie Bank, CBA, Woolworths, NBN, and the Australian Defence Force. Stuart holds multiple technical certifications with Austel, Lucent, AMP, Siemon, Krone, IBM, and Ortronics, reflecting his commitment to excellence and innovation in electrical and data services.

SAMUEL PALACIOS
Assistant Project Engineer
Sam is completing a Mechanical Engineering (Honours) degree at the University of Sydney and joins GenUrban through the university’s Industry Placement Program. With skills in computational fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, he’s applying his research on air displacement in hospital operating theatres to real-world projects. His experience with USYD Motorsports and Torus-Technology has built his technical design and project delivery capabilities. Sam brings curiosity, precision, and innovation to the GenUrban team.

SYRENA BAYNE
Project Coordinator
Syrena supports the day-to-day delivery of GenUrban’s projects, bringing a background in Exercise and Sport Science from UTS and experience across sport and recruitment. Her diverse skill set spans communication, organisation, and data analysis, shaped by work with elite sporting teams and client-facing environments. Syrena’s discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail make her a natural fit for coordinating fast-paced projects and ensuring seamless operations across teams.

MEGANTH KRISHNA
Project Manager
Meganth is a highly capable project professional with a strong foundation in development management and Civil Engineering, bringing a well-rounded and delivery-focused approach to complex urban projects. At GenUrban Projects Co, he supports the planning, coordination, and execution of residential, mixed-use, and government developments across all stages of the project lifecycle.
With experience spanning SSDA developments, student accommodation, capital works programs, and large-scale urban redevelopment, Meganth's collaborative approach and strong technical capability allows him to deliver high-quality outcomes for the GenUrban team.
